Bernard’s Grove is the high-end restaurant that isn’t like the others. It’s not in the Southeast quadrant of the county. It’s not particularly hip. You aren’t likely to run into jazz musicians, artists, or local politicians there. But the food is very good, the prices low for high-end vittles, and the service excellent and laid back. Its “new American” food means steak, seafood, and pastas all with culinary-magazine-type touches (like crispy leeks or saffron risotto). A great change of pace when you’re out for a fine meal.

They do a commendable job with their Paella. Their Chicken French, while good, is a bit pricey. Place has a certain, run-down charm to it.

the best restraunt on the west side! You might think your paying alot, but you will never walk out of that place dissatisfied! Your paying for consistency and very good meal. Why not splurge. Also the restraunt has the best bardtenders, they make the experience even more excting, especially the bartender that plays all of the best music! CHECK OUT BERNARD'S GROVE.... ITS A MUST!!

A surprisingly sophisticated menu, with very well prepared dishes. The offerings are what one might expect in a Pittsford area establishment or in one of the downtown Rochester's high end restaurants. Don't let the tired decor and neighborhood watering hole atmosphere discourage you from trying their excellent choices. The oysters on the half shell, paella, tuna steak, and creme brule were all excellent!! Rating: 4/5 stars.
