Rooney’s has remained an extraordinarily consistent fine dining establishment for decades, and continues to be one of the most romantic restaurants in the Rochester area.The interior is gorgeous, with detailed woodwork and a fireplace.The service is exceptional, and the food is creative without being pretentious.Look for the marinated beet salad, and combine that with the mixed grill or pan-seared venison with dried cherry glaze.This is a Critics Choice Restaurant.

Still a Rochester gem after all these years. The ever-improving wine list matches the skillfully prepared foods. Don't wait for a special occasion to visit

These people really know what to do with a wine list and a cut of meat. Service is 100% professional and dining room is one of the warmest and sophisticated in town. I only wish the food presentation was as skilled as the preparation... but if I'm complaining about garnishes then I'm pretty darn happy.
