Wayne Luong added this third restaurant to his portfolio in September 2006. His first two places, Golden Port and the House of Sushi, are located on East Avenue at Gibbs Street. Although Golden Port offers a few Thai dishes, this restaurant focuses on Thai food. The 54 seats are split among three levels in Corn Hill Landing, with two of them offering views of the Genesee River. Wayne has built a reputation for quality food at reasonable prices.

Excellent Thai cuisine. Rich balance of spices and other flavors. Attractive presentation. Good portions.

I can't recommend this restaurant, solely because the portions are small, but the prices are high. In fact, the prices reflect the high rent I'm sure they are paying at this location. They are passing along their location cost to the customer, as far as I'm concerned.
The food is decent, but there isn't enough of it, for the price.
Plus, I was more than a little put off when my dinner companions and I were told by the waiter, as soon as we arrived, that "You need to order right now! The chef wants to close the kitchen." That was not very welcoming. And, it's not like we were there at the last minute, it was not close to closing time at all. Not very good customer service.
Instead of Siam, I would recommend the owner's other restaurant, Golden Port Dim Sum on East Ave.

Not so great. The prices are compatible with upscale Asian dining, but the food is not. I missed the freshness of ingredients and the masterful handling of spices and flavors I've known in so many Thai places around the country.
It's the unattentive, poorly trained and naive staff that will put them under, though. There was no indication that "customer service" ever enters their minds, let alone their training. No excuses. I dined on June 14, 2007 - four months after opening.

The food was ready in 10 minutes, it was delicious, and it was a perfect portion. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the outside with the canal view is even better. It was unique and reasonably priced.

I tried Siam once for lunch. I never experienced an asian resteraunt that had no pork dishes on the menue.
The rice I was served seemed parboiled like "minute rice".
