The Old Toad brings “the pub from over, over to you.” This is truly an authentic Bristish pub, with a British staff and the vast selection of brews you’d expect from a drinking spot across the pond. A great place to hang out, especially for Monday night triva at 9:30 p.m., packed with a heavy dose of drinking and competition. The food is excellent as well. Try the steak in whisky sauce, served with traditional mashed potatoes and swede (neeps and tatties). Cheers!

The atmosphere is why you come here and the food is simply prepared but comforting and consistent. However, what has also been consistent over the years is the inattentive service (eye contact?). Don't drink your IPA too fast. You don't know when you'll see your server again. Nonetheless, they are still here over the years and on a rainy night a pint and the Yorkshire pudding hits the spot. When it shows up.

This place is a comfortable neighborhood hang out with a great beer menu. The bar food is good too - if a bit on the greasy/fattening side (well, it's bar food I guess). My complaint about the place is that it's dirty and really needs a good cleaning up. Also, yeah, I agree with above, very iffy service.
