"Dirty Sexy Money": Dirty sexy...cancelled?

My Wednesday night line-up is packed: I DVR six shows in three time slots, meaning there is no room for anything else. With that, I should almost be happy to hear that two of my hump day shows -- "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Pushing Daisies" -- have been cancelled. But I'm just angry, confused and sad. After last year's writer strike, I didn't get the time I deserved with these great shows, and now that they're back in their second seasons I've grown to truly love them. I like "Pushing Daisies" quite a lot, but mostly because I love creator Bryan Fuller's vision (and have since "Dead Like Me," another fantastic cancelled show he created). But I will truly miss my Darlings even more. "Dirty Sexy Money" makes me feel dirty and guilty for watching, yet it's so good, I don't even care that it's bad. How many shows can you say that about?

Last night's episode was no exception. Some thoughts: Trip and Simon Elder are partners now? Oh, the drama of it all! I love Simon Elder, mostly because I love Blaire Underwood. Yum. I actually felt kind of bad for Karen last night -- not that we didn't see this coming the whole season, but she looked, well, pitiful, and no Darling should ever have to feel so bad. I was a bit shocked that she was angry at Nick for being involved in the ‘transaction' with Simon. He is, after all, the family lawyer, and didn't have much of a choice in the matter. I am ecstatic that Lisa didn't get much screen time last night. She really grates my nerves and I honestly couldn't be happier that her and Nick are breaking up. She's just a giant hypocrite with a bad haircut. One question: What happened to Juliette's return? I could've sworn in the previews last week that they showed Juliette and said "Guess who's coming back?" Maybe those are previews for a later show? I hate being made to wait.

There are only a few episodes left and I will savor every last one. "Dirty Sexy Money" is like a soap opera, but because it's on at night, I don't have to admit I watch a soap-opera-like show -- and therefore I can still make fun of soap operas. How will I get my soap-opera-masquerading-as-a-nighttime-drama after DSM is over? Maybe I'll have to get "Dynasty" on DVD. Woe, woe is me.

The episode with juliet was cancelled for the Obama interview, it will not be aired, you are now watching the show out of sequence.
