Yes, we are gluttons for punishment. Even though last night's "Idol" Season 9 premiere was one of the least entertaining two hours of TV I've ever sat through, we're doing it again, liveblogging tonight starting at 8 p.m. Join as we pick apart the Atlanta auditions, and pray that some talent will sip in among the countless jackasses looking for a scant few minutes of "fame." Join in below, and chime in with your comments!

this American Idol Sucks Suck sucks get off the history of all the contestenats and let us see the auditions, we are not interested in the all the stories, WE WERE and a and WERE and Were watching ot see the auditions not the life stories of each contestant and we don't need all the judges infighting and other crap vote and make a ocmment and go. American idol sucks

yes i agree unadulterated boredom with the judges overdrawn comments and stupid in fighting, and then all the length wannabe profiles and life stories,, i watched the hsow to see the auditions not life histories. Cut out all the superflouss crap an get back to the entertaining American idol leave the stories for when they make the finals. i reall don't care who died and/or who had cancer at this point.

Randy Jackson is the ONLY one with respect to these people trying out for american idol, it's hard enough to perform in front of strangers, but the sly remarks from the judges is just un called for......Hope no one does something stupid with thier life after being humiliated, laughed at and put down in front of thousands of viewers. What a shame, need to bring back Paula!!!!!

Thanks goes out to Eric for his "Live Chat" deal. I enjoyed it and plan to return. Two thumbs up.

I couldn't be happier to have this season to watch. Not much to say at this point other than way too much from the judges and i really wish they would simply say NO instead of criticizing so much. And Mary J Blige was a total disappointment. I thought she was beyond rude to just laugh like she couldn't control herself and she had nothing very effective to say. I am so happy to have an opportunity to bitch...again!

The judge Kara is high on her horse like she took over. She has not ever fit in or her bitchy attitude.Ellen,Simon and Randy would be just fine the 3.

I've been returning here every week, but the "LIVE" box isn't active. What's up? Was it just for the first episode? Would be nice to have live chat going each week.

Forrest: We have been doing liveblogs for every "Idol" episode thus far. They go live at 8 p.m. EST, and close once the episode closes. You can read transcripts of the chats by clicking on the CoverItLive widget embedded in the article.
We'd love to have you join us for the next chat. Note that we will NOT be doing a liveblog for the 1/27 episode, since I'll be on the West Coast for business, and will be watching the episode a few hours behind the East Coast. But check in next Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST and it SHOULD work for you. It's been working for everyone else!
