KITT KITTREDGE: AN AMERICAN GIRL (G): Abigail Breslin plays an aspiring journalist (yes, probably with moxie) who helps her family through the Depression in a family film based on those pricey dolls and not the Tom Petty song. Pittsford, Tinseltown, Webster

LOVES OF A BLONDE (1965): Milos Forman both wrote and directed this Best Foreign Film nominee about a small-town girl looking for a way out via her entanglement with a handsome musician. Dryden(Tue, Jul 8, 8 p.m.)

PARANOID PARK (2007): Filmmaker Gus Van Sant continues his defiant indie trajectory with this mesmerizingly splintered tale of a young, disaffected skater who may know something about a gruesome accident at the trainyard. Dryden(Sat, Jul 5, 5 and 8 p.m.)

THE PINK PANTHER (1964): Peter Sellers' first outing as the legendarily inept Inspector Jacques Clouseau pits him against the dashing jewel thief (David Niven, of course) who also happens to be enjoying his two-timing wife. Dryden(Wed, Jul 2, 8 p.m.)

THUNDER ROAD (1958): The sexy, saucy Robert Mitchum stars as a moonshiner trying to thwart both the feds and the mob in this B-movie noir that'll be preceded by a collection of vintage trailers in which the cars are the stars. Dryden(Thu, Jul 3, 7 p.m.)

BABY MAMA (PG-13): The nearly overexposed Tina Fey toplines (but, remember, did not write) this odd-couple comedy about a career-oriented single girl who hires trashy Amy Poehler to proof her baby bun. Movies 10

COLLEGE ROAD TRIP (G): The talented Raven-Symoné stars alongside Martin Lawrence in this Disney comedy about a teenager and her police chief dad who hit the highway to explore her options for higher education. Hilarity hopefully ensues. Movies 10

DR. SEUSS' HORTON HEARS A WHO! (G): Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, Seth Rogen, and Carol Burnett are but a few of the talents lending their voices to the beloved story of a kind elephant determined to help the tiny Whos. Movies 10

FLAWLESS (R): Michael Radford (1994's "Il Postino") directs Demi Moore and the tireless Michael Caine in this 1960s-set crime caper about a janitor and an executive at a London diamond concern who decide to give themselves a sparkly raise. Little

THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM (PG-13): A teenage martial arts fan (Michael Angarano, "Snow Angels") travels back in time to ancient China and falls under the tutelage of a silent monk (the charismatic Jet Li) and a drunken kung-fu master (Jackie Chan, of course). Movies 10

HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY (R): Going out for tiny hamburgers is one thing; this sounds suspiciously ambitious for a couple of stoners. Movies 10

IRON MAN (PG-13): Marvel Comics ignites the summer-movie season with the mercurial Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, part-time industrialist playboy and part-time metallic superhero. Costarring Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Terrence Howard. Tinseltown

KUNG FU PANDA (PG): Jack Black heads up an eclectic blend of voice talent - including Dustin Hoffman, David Cross, and Deadwood's Ian McShane - in this cartoon about a roly-poly panda improbably destined to become a martial-arts master. MADE OF HONOR (PG-13): Not to be confused with "My Best Friend's Wedding," this romantic comedy is about a guy crushing on his best friend, who's getting ready for her wedding. Patrick Dempsey stars, which means my time machine back to 1987 totally worked. Movies 10

MONGOL (R): Award-winning Russian filmmaker Sergei Bodrov gets his Lean on with this sweeping (and Oscar-nominated) epic about the romantic, violent rise of Genghis Khan. Little, Pittsford

NIM'S ISLAND (PG): Nim (Abigail Breslin) writes to her agoraphobic literary hero (Jodie Foster) for help after her scientist dad goes missing in this family adventure-fantasy that co-stars Gerard Butler ("300"). Movies 10

SEX AND THE CITY (R): Only Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha can make both Manhattan and intercourse seem so boring. Canandaigua, Pittsford, Webster

SHUTTER (PG-13): The sorta underrated Joshua Jackson (reportedly the new "Fletch") stars in this Englishification of a Thai horror film about a photographer with a guilty secret whose images capture more than he intended. Movies 10

SON OF RAMBOW (PG-13): Set in early 80's England, this coming-of-age comedy from writer-director Garth Jennings ("The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy") is about two lads who fall under the spell of "First Blood" and set out to make a sequel themselves. Cinema

SPEED RACER (PG): The Wachowski brothers follow up the "Matrix" trilogy (five years later) with a live-action version of the cult-classic cartoon about a boy and his car. With Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, John Goodman, and seizure-inducing visuals. Movies 10

THE STRANGERS (R): Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman play a couple terrorized at their vacation house by masked assailants. Oh, and enjoy your summer getaway! Canandaigua

THE VISITOR (PG-13): Richard Jenkins (the dead dad from "Six Feet Under") plays a lonely college professor gradually inspired by his unlikely bond with the squatters in his NYC apartment. Written and directed by Tom McCarthy, who brought us "The Station Agent." Little

WANTED (R): "Nightwatch" director Timbor Bekmambetov adapts Mark Millar's graphic novel about an apathetic slacker (James McAvoy) who's molded into an assassin by the ultimate male fantasy (Angelina Jolie).
