- a soft and cuddly kitten toy or a colorful baby block. Knit and crochet patterns for both projects will be available in class. For the kitten you’ll need worsted weight black or white yarn, scraps of pink, black, and white yarn for embroidering face, US size 6 knitting needles or US size G crochet hook, scissors, tape measure or ruler, tapestry needle and a small amount of polyester fiberfill. For the baby block you’ll need Intermezzo Chunky, 100% mercerized cotton, 100g=24 yards in white, light green and red, or another chunky weight cotton or cotton blend yarn. You may use two strands of worsted weight cotton together for this pattern. You will also need US size 8 needles or US size G or H crochet hook, tapestry needle, tape measure or ruler, scissors, 1/4 yard unbleached and washed muslin, a small amount of polyester fiberfill, sewing thread to match and a sewing needle.
