Many people of a certain age credit the late Leonard Bernstein for sparking a love for classical music through his televised Young People's Concerts. Around the 90th anniversary of his birth, New York City is now in the midst of a three-month Bernsteinpalooza, and orchestras around the world are playing his songs. So is the RPO. Rochester's orchestra is even bringing his daughter Jamie Bernstein to town to share personal anecdotes in a concert featuring tunes from "West Side Story," "Candide," and "On the Town." Jeff Tyzik conducts tenor Jeffrey Picón and soprano Michelle Areyzaga.
