NEW AGE: Yanni (5/13)

By Dale Evans on May 6, 2009

A self-taught keyboardist, pianist, and composer most noted for playing venues like the Taj Mahal, the Acropolis, and The Great Wall of China, Yanni will now grace our little arena with his Yanni Voices tour. The tour is a live production of the same named CD/DVD released last year in which vocalists sing to his works. Filming of the kick-off concert became a PBS special that aired in March. There seems to be no middle ground with this artist; you either love him or hate him. Lovers know what they love about him. Haters can go on and on.

Yanni performs Wednesday, May 13, 7:30 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena, 100 Exchange Blvd. $25-$74.50. 232-1900.
