Don't fear the reaper, but there is a Blue Oyster Cult founder in our midst. John Wiesenthal is one of the starting members of the pioneering heavy metal band. You can hear him in his current role as chair of the guitar department at Hochstein School of Music and Dance playing an Asturias flamenco guitar at this week's Hochstein summer concert at High Falls. Accompanying Wiesenthal will be Aaron Cotton, a classical guitarist from Austin, Texas.

John Wiesenthal was not a Blue Oyster Cult founder. He just happened to jam occasionally with the group of students that eventually formed the band.

Paul, Perhaps making this statement would benifit history if you could prove this fact, rather than to just state it. A man of Johns Profession and integrity in the public eye, wouldn't make this statement if it were not true. Perhaps a college course in Rock and Roll history would help you.
