Pianist Paul Hofmann's summer concerts are always grand affairs; this year's model is no exception. The first half will feature duets with two other pianists, playing pieces by Dave Brubeck, Joe Zawinul, and Hofmann himself. Rochester jazz luminaries, including trumpeter Mike Kaupa, guitarist Bob Sneider, bassist Jeff Campbell, and drummer Mike Melito, will join Hofmann for the second half to perform Miles Davis' entire "Kind of Blue" album just past its 50th anniversary, and an original waltz written for the late (and greatly missed) Gerry Niewood.
