Insane Clown Posse, or ICP if you're hip to the lingo, is a hardcore (sometimes called "horrorcore") hip-hop duo made up of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, who hail from Detroit, Michigan. The duo sport KISS-style make-up to get into their alter egos (clowns, ‘natch). Their lyrical style is very dark, which has made them a lightning rod for controversy, drawing comparisons to other attention-baiting musical figures such as Marilyn Manson. The group's recently released album "Bang! Pow! Boom!," like most of its catalog, features stories involving or born from the "Dark Carnival," part of the mythology that the group taps into for its musical inspirations.

The Insane Clown Posse are musical, lyrical and theatrical geniuses! I will be attending my 5th ICP show on Tuesday and am just as excited as I was for my 1st. I love the Juggalos and Juggalettes, the faygo and the make-up. ICP is not just for kids. How do I know? I'm 48. Bring on the clowns!
