The Nu Roc Anniversary Party happens on Friday, November 20 at Dubland Underground.
The Nu Roc DJ Crew has been an international player in the breaks scene for five years now, and if that isn't reason enough to celebrate I don't know what is. They've put in work around the world, all from their home base in the 585. From hosting a radio show on London-based Breaks.fm and getting original songs played out at festivals as far as Spain, to playing festivals themselves alongside such headliners as the Crystal Method, their dues are certainly paid. For their fifth birthday, they've invited local hip-hop group Aqua Island, as well as DJs from San Francisco and Buffalo spinning breaks, dubstep, techno, drum & bass, and everything else they're good at. Come party with Nu Roc before Rochester gets too small to hold them.
