Camera Obscura is known for being able to make a fractured heart seem beautiful. The band's entire body of work, told through the tender, melancholy vocals of Tracyanne Campbell, captures the absurdities of love and revels in them. Since its first release in 1996, the Scottish indie-pop group has delivered a boundless sound, merging the world of pop with a dash of Motown, blues, and jazz. The group has released four albums to date; its U.S. tour has only a few brief stops before the band heads off to a second tour in Australia and New Zealand. Catch ‘em while you can.
