Dave Rempis may be best known as the second saxophonist in The Vandermark Five, dueling with Ken Vandermark. But he also leads or regularly performs with a half dozen other groups in the United States and Europe. Drummer Frank Rosaly is equally busy, balancing performances in the groups he belongs to with guest appearances with Peter Brotzmann, Anthony Coleman, Tony Malaby, and others. Rempis and Rosaly are both key participants in the vital Chicago jazz scene. They'll bring some of that excitement this week to the always-edgy Bop Arts series.
