Veteran jazz group Cabo Frio has been on the scene since the late 70's, right about that time when the introduction of the funky, rock-enthused, R&B style of jazz fusion was coming to the fore. The group has recorded eight albums and shared the bill in national festivals with Miles Davis, Carlos Santana, and Kenny G. The sound comes as a collection of cultures and a self-described "fusion of ideas." The group is admittedly uncomfortable being confined to any labels. So expect a wild blend of seasoned, smooth jazz with a heavy hit of funk and soul.
