Though the members of Brand New started out in hardcore bands, the group has a much more indie-rock feel to it. They've worked their way up the ranks, having played on shows with acts like New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, and Blink-182, among others. The band's just-released disc "Daisy" is chock full of moody, atmospheric tunes (the more rock-tinted "At The Bottom" is currently garnering local airplay). Tour mate Glassjaw has been a leader on the hardcore scene since the start of the decade, but has been fairly quiet in recent years, though the band still commands a solid following of its own.
