Some major metal bands have claimed that so-called musical experts have pronounced the metal scene dead. Well, you wouldn't know it here in Rochester, where at the Bug Jar, no less than six regional metal bands are coming to play this weekend. Nunslaughter, Blizaro, Sarcous, Rabid, Infernal Abyss, and Riley Schillaci all promise a headbanging good time, with just as many mutations of the metal genre, such as experimental, death, thrash, and more. And it's all to celebrate the birthday of Heavy Metal Steve, so there may be cake. With metal frosting, of course.
