Most of us can probably remember singing in school choir when we were kids. While our experiences in these choirs might have been mixed, one cannot deny that we learned some life lessons - even if it was only that lip-synching is a valuable skill set to have. Unlike my own school choir experience, this week's performance by the Amadeus Chorale will be showcasing children who are serious about their participation in a singing group. The Chorale, which includes four different choirs, consists of students who range from second graders to high schoolers. The concert will be a collection of Broadway standards, and the choirs will share the stage with dancer Shannon Baker, percussionist Nick Tryka, and narrator Jack Prewitt.
The Amadeus Chorale performs Saturday, February 27 at t p.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 3233 W Ridge Rd. $5. 474-1795
