This Christian pop group formed in 1999 and has won both Grammy and Dove awards in its quick ascent to stardom. That culminated with last year's release "Until The Whole World Hears," through which the group crossed over into the mainstream pop world. The group has a solid pop/rock style, while lead singer, songwriter, and youth pastor Mark Hall brings a fresh voice to some very familiar Christian rock themes. Though stylistically Casting Crowns incorporates pop, rock, and adult contemporary elements, it is a Christian band, through and through.
