Funky. Hard. Deep. Jacking. Get your mind out of the gutter - these are some of the styles of house you're likely to hear when Toronto's Deko-ze comes to Tilt Nightclub. He'll be in town to celebrate resident DJ Jon Herbert's birthday with a time-tested mix of four-on-the-floor beats. And Deko-ze doesn't just play hard. He's earned the title "Canada's hardest-working DJ," as a result of his globe-trotting gigs and nearly two decades of club residencies across Canada as well as original production, remixes, and compilations on Hi-Bias Recordings. He has also been named "Best Electronic DJ" by both NOW Magazine and the Toronto DJ Festival. Tilt's resident DJ Jon Herbert is no stranger to accolades as well, having been voted City Newspaper's Best DJ of '09.
Deko-ze spins Saturday, June 26, 10 p.m. at Tilt Nightclub, 444 Central Ave. $4-$10 (Free until 11 p.m.). 232-8440.
