New York City's Ruste Juxx and Marco Polo are bringing their new project "The Exxecution" from one side of the Empire State to the other. The collaboration is genuine East Coast hip-hop with hard hitting, street smart lyrics from Juxx over Polo's boom-bap. These two have worked with some of the underground's biggest names, from putting out records on labels like Rawkus and Duck Down to touring with the likes of Ghostface Killah, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Sean Price. The Brown Bag All Stars are coming along for the ride, while Gillateen, Moses, Tim Tones, and more provide the hometown hospitality.
Ruste Juxx and Marco Polo perform Friday, June 4 at 9 p.m. at Dub Land Underground, 315 Alexander St. $6-$20. 232-7550.
