Remember that scene in "The Matrix" where Neo meets Trinity for the first time? Ever fantasized that was you? Local party-throwers Technoir Events and SickSound Productions know the feeling, and are taking the Dub Land Underground down the rabbit hole with them. This sci-fi-themed event is transforming Dub Land's two rooms into "Metropolis" and "The Dark City," with DJs from across upstate playing industrial, trance, house, techno, and more. Headlining the event is live psy-trance group Dharma Lab, as well as Syracuse DJ duo Mike Sims and Sean Place. Vertex resident Darkwave will be DJing as well as providing visuals, and attendees are encouraged to put on their best sci-fi inspired outfit. The event also features gift basket raffles with proceeds going to the Rochester Chapter of the Humane Society. So feel good about yourself while toasting to the impending robot takeover.
