ROCK: The Phermones (9/4)

Recommend Article
Total Recommendations (0)

The Pheromones play indie rock with a throbbing dirge and a wonderfully atmospheric sustain. Hook-heavy and just plain heavy in spots, the band's clever and consistent use of minor keys leaves happy and sad to battle it out for domination. It's thoughtful and seductive and honest, pulling the listener into the aura that its music speaks of. The band plays as part of Victory Brewing Company Night, which also features performances by The Methods and Absolution Project, hosted by comedian Matt Dalberth.

The Pheromones plays Saturday, September 4 at 9 p.m. at Lovin' Cup, 300 Park Point Plaza. $3. 292-9940
