The Rochester International Jazz Festival is just a month away, but for some jazz lovers that's too long to wait. A small piece of the RIJF will be visiting the Strathallan this weekend, when festival artistic director and saxophonist extraordinaire John Nugent joins the Bob Sneider trio. Festival regulars know that Nugent ends every RIJF evening at the late-night jam session with Sneider's trio. After a career touring with the Woody Herman Band and playing with Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tormé, and others, his chops are as strong as ever.
