Having LA hard rockers Buckcherry on the Cruefest bill should raise the bar for the aging hosts of the party. Buckcherry's sound is visceral, loud, irreverent, rude, with maximum sex appeal. Since this band came together in 1995, it has unapologetically lived the life of excess and destruction other bands only sing about before slinking back to their comfort zones. And singer Josh Todd easily has the best voice - and the biggest mouth - in rock music today, a mix of banshee wail and soul singer want, sorta like Steven Tyler before sobriety and the ballads got a hold on him.
