Whether paired up with a drummer, or as point man in a power trio, ex-Rochesterian Tommy Brunett sure does love that rapid 2/4 beat. It's always been in him. Granted, if it was there during his days with local metal mavens Immaculate Mary, it was buried. (And no wonder, the band wound up in the Guiness Book Of World Records as The World's Loudest Band.) It did, however, begin to surface in Spacetrucker, a full-blown roots rock 'n' roll outfit in the mid-90's that sounded like a slightly heavier Jason and the Scorchers, or Steve Earle when he still used. While Jason now makes children's records and Earle's cleaned up, Brunett continues to bring it to the big kids. He'll be breaking out some new cuts during this show as a test drive for an upcoming record.
