Ever since Riverdance stomped on to the stage in the 1990's, Irish step-dancing has become a common offering on dance-school menus. And wherever kids dress in costumes to showcase their talents, competitions soon follow.
On Saturday, July 12, the Rochester Riverside Convention Center hosts the FEIS Irish Dance Competition. Along with the typical jigs, participants will also be vying for best in needlework, art, music, vocals, and soda bread baking.
The Rochester Riverside Convention Center is located at 123 East Main Street. Spectator tickets are $10. For a full schedule of events go to feisweb.com/Rochester.
