Voyeurs, architecture experts, and history buffs can all get their kicks during the 33rd annual 19th Ward Community Association House Tour. This year's 10 tour stops include a sneak preview of the newly built Staybridge Suites Hotel at Brooks Landing, the antiques-filled brick house at the corner of Chili and Wellington (built in 1840, it's one of the area's oldest structures), the Genesee Baptist Church on Brooks Ave, and a tiny Post Avenue home. The tour takes place Saturday, October 4, noon-5 p.m. Show up to the Genesee Baptist Church at 10 a.m., though, and you can hear a lecture on the different architectural styles you'll see on the tour.
Tour tickets cost $10, and are available at Wegmans stores, the 19th Ward Community Association office, Hunts Hardware, Parkleigh Pharmacy, the Westside Market, and the Creator's Hands. For more information, go to 19wca.org, or call 328-6571.
