Kwanzaa sounds like fun. It's a week-long celebration, and you get to do things like light candles, pour libations, give gifts, and have a feast. Whether you already celebrate it, or are looking to find out a little more about the tradition, you can head to the Village Gate this weekend to immerse yourself in all things Kwanzaa. View a demonstration to get into the spirit, or listen to some live music. There'll also be a drumming circle, vendors, and plenty of opportunity to shop for holiday gifts.
The Kwanzaa Family Bazaar takes place Saturday, November 22 at the Village Gate, 274 North Goodman Street, noon-5 p.m. Free. Call Moodmakers Books at 271-7010 for details.
