It lurks like a misshapen goblin in your closet, or leers at you from where you slung it over a doorknob and forgot it: the purse that cast its spell on you in some store, then revealed its true self once you got home. Blame it on the expensive lighting in the shop, or your passing infatuation with bauble-covered bags.
Well, now's your chance to get rid of the thing, and benefit a good cause while you're at it. Friday, November 21, Beijo Bags hosts an Ugly Purse Party to benefit the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. All the purses are donated to charity, and the ugliest one wins a free Beijo Bag. The party's free, and takes place at the Bagel Bin, 2600 Elmwood Avenue, 6-8 p.m. Call 729-0966 for details.
