The presence of the digital-television public service announcement running across the bottom of your TV screen is an indication that not only are you an un-cabled nerd like me, but that your rabbit ears will soon need to hook-up with a new friend or they won't let you play at all. Although the frequent PSAs have become an annoyance, no one will be able to claim ignorance when their screen goes black on February 17.
WXXI Voices Lecture Series asks, "Are You Ready?" on Sunday, January 11, at 2 p.m. If you have any questions or confusion over the digital TV switchover, here's your chance to get informed answers. The lecture takes place at the XXI studios, 280 State Street, and costs $10-$25. Call 258-0200 for more info.
