Because spring is finally here and Rochester's warm weather is coming back to life, leave your car at home and learn how to get around the city in a whole new way. On Saturday, March 28, a beginner-level workshop on the intricate French discipline Parkour, which involves moving quickly and efficiently by using only your body and the environment, will be led by Zachary Cohn. Cohn is a co-founder of Rochester Parkour, and a member of the APK Alliance, a team of Parkour practitioners from around the United States. The workshop will focus on basic Parkour techniques as well as the importance of safety in any training regimen for Parkour.
The workshop takes place 2:30-4 p.m. at downtown's Manhattan Square Park, and is free and open to the public. For more information call 410-370-8000 or visit rochesterparkour.com.
