Cute, yet vicious, stares, ravenous appetites for stale bread, and violent over-protectiveness over their young isn't all there is to ducks and geese. There's much, much more, and the Rochester Birding Association wants to teach you all there is to know. For those looking to brush up on their migratory waterfowl knowledge and spotting skills, the RBA offers a beginner bird-watching trip Sunday, March 8. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars as well as field guides and spotting scopes if they own them. The pace of the trip may not appeal to experienced birders, but the RBA offers many other trips that cater to birders with a higher skill level.
The migratory waterfowl trip will take place at Lakeshore Fields in Braddock Bay in Charlotte. Participants should meet in the Charlotte Beach parking lot at 8:30 a.m. For more information visit rochesterbirding.com or call 671-1310.
