Jessica Lange is best known as a big-time Hollywood actress, having worked in front of the camera in movies like 1982's "Tootsie," the 1976 remake of "King Kong," and the 2009 TV adaptation of "Grey Gardens." But she's also adept at working behind the camera, as is proven by "Photographs by Jessica Lange," the new exhibit at George Eastman House. You can peruse the black-and-white images taken by Lange in such places as the Yucatan, Russia, Scandinavia, Ethiopia, and - perhaps most exotic of all - Minnesota now through September 20 at the Eastman House (900 East Ave).
On Saturday, July 25, Lange will visit Rochester and host two separate events at the Eastman's Dryden Theatre. At 5 p.m., Lange will introduce a screening of "Grey Gardens" (tickets are $7, $5 for students and Eastman House members) and at 7 p.m., she will be given the George Eastman House Honors Award and will host a book signing and discussion about her photography career and motion picture work.
For more information on the show, or the Eastman House's other summer exhibits, visit eastmanhouse.org.
