KIDS: Harry Potter Movie and Magical Bash (7/11)

Dust off your invisibility cloak, grab your broom, and practice those spells for the Harry Potter Movie Marathon and Magical Bash this Saturday, July 11, at Writers & Books. In anticipation of the sixth film in the franchise, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (opening Wednesday, July 15), the event will feature screenings of the fourth and fifth movie installments, magical games, costumes and sweets.

Travis Prinzi, a nationally known Harry Potter commentator and author, will stop by to give a presentation, and actress Alexa Scott-Flaherty will give dramatic readings from the books.

Witches and wizards of all ages can enjoy the night of magic, running 4-10 p.m. at WAB, 740 University Avenue. Just bring yourself (in costume, preferably) and $5 for admission. For more information, visit wab.org.
