If you can't juggle, it's hard not to go slack-jawed when encountering someone who can. My brother, for instance, constantly surprises me with his skillful, impromptu juggling tricks.
There's a whole troupe of internationally renowned jugglers who'll wow you this weekend, when they make their first-ever stop in Rochester. The troupe includes a former Rochestarian (who ditched town for circus school), another American, and members picked up from Sweden and Japan. Expect many a juggling feat, as well as an original live electronic musical score, and the manipulation of objects including rings, strings, shoehorns, buckets, teabags, peacock feathers, Japanese fans, exploding spheres, and more.
The Shoebox Tour comes to town Friday, July 24, and performs at 7 p.m. at the Harmony House (58 E Main St, Webster). Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for ages 10 and younger. Call 342-9937, or visit airplayjugglers.com/shoeboxtour.html for more info.
