"Mercury Opera Divas and More" takes place Sunday, July 19 at Geva.
The computer age is cool and all, but sometimes you really should pull yourself away from your monitor or high-definition TV. Turn off your cell phone this Sunday, July 19, and head to Geva Theatre for a performance of classical opera and musical theater sure to bring you out of your digital funk.
Mercury Opera Rochester is teaming up with the Geva to put on an elegant night of performances that will include many performers who previously starred in other Mercury Opera shows. Local performance groups such as Fairport Summer Performing Arts and Westside Theatre Productions will take the stage as well.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a wine and cheese reception in the café. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25. Visit gevatheatre.org or call 232-4382 for tickets and information.
