As daylight hours grow short and Halloween-themed activities grow plentiful, families start to look for kid-friendly trick-or-treating locations. The No. 1 priority is to get the kids into their carefully chosen costumes and set ‘em loose without worrying about their safety. Families can find this and more at TreatFest, an event that happens both Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31. There'll be a DJ playing Halloween-themed music, safe trick-or-treating, a haunted house, and in general that whole happy "merry not scary" vibe. Gary the Happy Pirate will also perform.
TreatFest takes place Friday, October 30, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, October 31, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Monroe County Fair & Expo Center (2695 East Henrietta Rd). Admission is $2-$3. Go to fairandexpocenter.org for more info.
