Performances of "The Three Little Pigs" will take place Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, at 1:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word.
Mercury Opera's rendition of "The Three Little Pigs" is just as we remember it, but with a few twists. This time around, some of Mozart's most popular songs will underscore the performance, but all of the characters are back, still trying to create the perfect home to fend off that pesky wolf. The performance will inspire kids to find time to read (sister pig Despina's home is perfectly crafted, but only after she learns how to create a "huff-proof" and "puff-proof" from the literature she finds), while introducing them to the art form of opera.
