Despite his nasty intentions, the ill-tempered Grinch remains a loveable holiday icon. He's had quite a career, from the original Dr. Seuss children's book, "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," the classic animated film adaptation from the 1960's, and the Jim Carrey live-action movie from earlier this decade. Each version offers its own take on the story, in which the title character - reportedly possessing a heart that was two sizes too small, and other nasty maladies - decides to be the anti-Santa and ransack the houses of the Whos of Whoville on Christmas. But everything works out in the end, because hey, it's Christmas.
The Little Theatre (240 East Ave) will present a holiday edition of its Little Buddies kids film series this Saturday, December 19, with a screening of the live-action flick starting at 10 a.m. Note that as of press time the 9 a.m. breakfast with the Grinch had sold out, but you can still catch the film for $5.
