Now in its 28th year, the Metro Justice Alternative Fair is a way to diverge from the commercial side of the Holiday by purchasing crafty, original gifts while supporting social justice, sustainability, and community awareness. Hundreds of fair-trade, earth-friendly, and locally made items will be for sale, such as hand-crafted jewelry, pottery, clothing, and kid-friendly toys and non-competitive games. While you're shopping, you can also check out entertainment and information tables set up by other local progressive organizations.

The Alternative Fair will take place on Friday, December 4, 6-9:30 p.m., and Saturday, December 5, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester (220 S Winton Rd). There is a $3 suggested donation for ages 12+. Check out metrojustice.org for more info.
