Here's your chance to visit Christmas past. The historic Genesee Country Village and Museum hosts "Yuletide in the Country" this week Friday, December 11, through Sunday, December 13 (and again the following weekend, Friday, December 18, through Sunday, December 20). You can embark on a 90-minute tour of the village and interact with characters from centuries past as they celebrate Christmas. The event also includes sing-alongs to holiday songs, live music, warm spiced cider, dancing, and more. Yuletide tours depart every 15 minutes from 5 to 8:45 p.m. on Fridays and 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
If you work up an appetite on the tour, you can satisfy it at the Yuletide Buffet, which features festive 19th century fare. Seatings are from 4 to 8:30 p.m. on Fridays and 3:30-8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tickets are $18-$22 for adults and $12-$15 for youth ages 4-16. Advance tickets are required for both the tours and the buffet. Call 538-6822, or visit gcv.org. The Genesee Country Village and Museum is located at 1410 Flint Hill Rd in Mumford.
