Kids plus classical music is typically not a winning equation, but the Harley school is trying to change that with their Bebop to Bach Concert Series.
The concerts, which start this weekend, will be brief (only about an hour long), and will feature engaging musical acts that everyone in the family can groove along too. The School of the Arts Jazz Combo will play in the first show on January 31 at 2 p.m. in the Lower School Centrum (1981 Clover St). Two more concerts in the series will be held on February 28 and March 21.
Tickets are $5 each or $10 per family of four and can be purchased by calling Terry Smith at 442-1770, ext. 3034. For more information about the series, email tsmith@harleyschool.org.
