LECTURE: Nick Gurewitch & Chris Onstad (2/10)

By Rebecca Rafferty on February 10, 2010

Man, was I a touch star-struck when I heard that one of my webcomic heroes, Nick Gurewitch, gets his fine-art reproduction prints done at my friend's small-biz print shop. One-step removed! But we all know Rochester to be wee and magical like that.

Nicolas Gurewitch and Chris Onstad are proof that with lots of hard work and talent a'plenty, the little guy can make it big. Titans of indie webcomics, the intelligent and mischievous creators of the Eisner Award-winning "Perry Bible Fellowship" and "Achewood" (respectively), will appear together as part of the Caroline Werner Gannett Lecture Series at RIT, for an on-stage dynamic dialogue to discuss how and why their work has been so successful.

"Internet Famous: The Life & Times of Nick & Chris" takes place Wednesday, February 10, at 8 p.m. at RIT's Webb Auditorium (Bldg. 7, Room 1350). The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, call 475-2057 or visit cwgp.org
