If you haven't gotten around to checking out the Flying Squirrel Community Space yet, the Regional Zine and Craft Fair on Sunday, February 7, is an excellent opportunity to meet a bunch of the awesome folks involved in the new venue while you engage with the zine and craft communities of Rochester, Buffalo, Ithaca, Syracuse, and more. Opened this past fall, Flying Squirrel's grassroots mission is to provide a space that will cultivate and sustain long-lasting relationships between artists, activists, and community members in Rochester who want to work together to create positive social change.
If you're interested attending or hosting a table with your zines and/or crafts, offering zine or crafting workshops, reading or sharing work, contact Caitlin at makeanotherchoice@gmail.com or Ted at Knight0440@yahoo.com. The event will run noon-4 p.m. at the Flying Squirrel Community Space, 285 Clarissa St. A $1 donation is requested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
