At this point, you're probably beyond sick of the words "tea party." I hear you. But a new exhibit opening at Nazareth College takes viewers away from politics and back to engaging with one another about diverse cultural beauty. Tea is much more than a cozy, comforting brew; nearly every culture it has touched has its own set of rituals, myths, preparations, and aesthetics surrounding the imbibing of it.

Nazareth College's Center for International Education is offering a chance to learn about tea cultures from around our world, and view tea ware representing the traditions of China, Japan, Russia, Turkey, England, and Iran. "The Art of Tea: Traditions from Around the World" will be on display March 1-28 in the Lorette Wilmot Library on the Nazareth campus (4245 East Ave.). An opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 4, at 4 p.m. in the library, and will feature a tea tasting hosted by Nazareth exchange students Hieu Nguyen of Vietnam, Taro Mawatari of Japan, and Munguntuya Otgonjargal of Mongolia.
