The red-carpet experience is open to everyone at the Eastman House Academy Awards Party. How could you not feel like a celebrity with the "paparazzi" taking your picture, live music playing in the background, and hors d'oeuvres served while you watch the Academy Awards ceremony on the Dryden Theatre's big screen? In addition to the dining, dancing, and watching, a silent auction will take place, and will include items such as a ride in a restored World War II-era plane or a hockey stick signed by Sabres player Ryan Miller. Make sure to dress extra snazzy so you can look good when taking your picture with a real Oscar statuette.
The George Eastman House Academy Awards Party takes place Sunday, March 7, at 7 p.m. at the George Eastman House, 900 East Ave. Tickets cost $50 for the general public, $45 for Eastman House members. For more information call 271-3361 ext. 261 or visit eastmanhouse.org.
