Gardens lend a sense of vitality and beauty to any setting, especially when they are masterfully planned and created. This year's GardenScape flower and garden show will be packed with more than 20 such gardens created around the theme of a powerful storm. In addition to the exotic gardens, the show will feature vendors, seminars, guest speakers, and more to get you excited for spring.

Although the show officially runs March 11-14, on Wednesday, March 10, at 5:30 p.m. the Taste of Spring preview party will give people an early glimpse at the show while benefitting the Epilepsy Foundation. Guests can expect live music, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and raffles. Tickets cost $50. Early risers can also check out early-bird tours Friday and Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. ($25). Finally, Friday, March 12, will feature a GardenScape special event, the Sock Hop Into Spring. Live music and dancing will begin at 8:30 p.m. Admission into the sock hop costs $15, and includes all-day Friday admission into GardenScape.

Gardenscape 2010 will take place at the Monroe County Fair and Expo Center on East Henrietta Road in Henrietta. Hours are Thursday, March 11, through Saturday, March 13, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, March 14, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission costs $10-$12, children 12 and under free.
